    Pigments and colors for epoxy resin

    Epoxy resins are usually colorless, crystal clear and color very well. Various ways are used to color the cast epoxy resin. Epoxy resin pigments can have different consistencies and their uses differ accordingly. Denser resin pigments fall into the category of "pigment pastes" and are used to systemically, opaque color the resin. Liquid resin pigments fall into the category of "pigment solutions" and are used to form transparent castings. Resin powder pigments are bulk materials.

    Types of pigments for epoxy resin

    • Mica Pigment Powders - are metallic powders made from mica. At high temperatures, it is fired with various metal oxides and then ground into very fine powders. Metallic powder is used to fill the casting resin. Metallic resin powders are used to create images, in the production of dining table tops, furniture and decorative items
    • Pigment pastes - are thick, highly concentrated pigment pastes for creating transparent to saturated, opaque castings
    • Pigment solutions - are liquid, concentrated pigment solutions for creating transparent, transparent castings
