Starbond “Dark Brown” Medium-Thick CA Glue BR-500

A medium-thick cyanoacrylate (CA) super glue with a dark brown color. On darker-colored wood, Brown Medium-Thick acts as a more natural filler (compared to Starbond Black glues) for cracks and voids due to its opaque “coffee” brown color. In terms of viscosity, Starbond Brown Medium-Thick CA is an excellent all-purpose adhesive that can be used for bonding closely-fitted parts and filling cracks, voids, bug holes, and knots.

Key Features of “Dark Brown” Medium-Thick CA Glue BR-500

  • Viscosity: 500 cPs (similar to the thickness of syrup)
  • Penetrating abilities of up to 0.02 mm
  • Bonding time: 30-40 seconds
  • If stored properly, it can last in a cold environment for several years
  • Be sure to store the bottle at 4°C (40°F) before and after use to achieve a 20-month shelf life guarantee after opening

Professional Tip

It’s important to note that colored CAs have extended curing times due to the added rubber compound. While the curing time is typically 40-60 seconds, it may take much longer to dry when larger amounts of glue are applied. In such cases, it is highly recommended to use Starbond Accelerator.
